SUMMER READING

Collect prizes through Sept. 1

Join the summer reading club at the library! Track your reading (for kids in pre-K through entering 5th grade) and your literacy activities (for babies and toddlers) to earn free books and other prizes. TAIL WAGGIN' TUTORS

Read aloud to a certified therapy dog! It helps build reading skills and confidence. Registration is required. Please call the library or stop by to sign up for a 10-minute time slot. For children in grades K to 6.

KINDERGARTEN STORYTIME

Headed to kindergarten in the fall? Share stories and songs about what it's like to start school. For children entering kindergarten and their families. Two sessions offered. No registration required.


STORY TIMES

*Please note that all morning storytimes will be on break from August 21 through Sept. 8

Join us for stories, songs, rhymes, and fun, and learn more about supporting your child’s early literacy development. Storytime lasts for approximately 20 to 30 minutes.

Each session is designed for its suggested age range, but please feel free to attend the session you are most comfortable with. Every child develops at his or her own pace. Older and younger siblings are always welcome to attend.

All storytimes support PA Forward's Basic Literacy

Terrific 2’s and 3’s (ages 18 to 36 months)

Mondays at 10:00 am

Playful Pre-School (ages 3 to 5 years)

Tuesdays at 10:00 am

Wonderful Ones (ages birth to 24 months)

Thursdays at 10:00 am


KIDS’ BOOK CLUB

Due to lack of attendance, the Kids' Book Club is taking an extended break. If you are interested in participating, please let Miss Kris, Miss Amy, or Miss Elena know. We will try to gather days and times that work well for those interested in the group.


TEEN BOOK CLUB

LEGO CLUB

Wednesdays, 3:30 to 5:00 pm

Children ages 4 and up are invited to spark their imagination and build to their heart’s content with our vast collection of Legos. Drop in anytime during the 90-minute period. Lego creations will be saved from week to week and displayed on the library shelves!


DUPLO PLAY DAY

Fridays, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Drop in to build whatever you like with the library's Duplo collection. Use your imagination to play and create! Suggested for ages 2 to 6.


ANNUAL ABC'S

Anytime during library open hours

Drop in anytime during the library's open hours to make a letter craft! Throughout the year, we'll make all 26 letters of the alphabet. Each letter and its supplies are available in the children's section for two weeks at a time, but we'll keep extra materials on hand behind the desk. If you want to do a previous letter that you missed, just ask the librarian for the supplies.
