PA ONE BOOK STORYTIME: MY COUSIN MOMO

In Medieval times, a Coat of Arms featured symbols to identify different families. Join Rebecca McDermott, MS, and create your own, modern-day family crest! Work together to create a saying, values, and memories specific to your family. Supplies provided. No registration required. Open to children ages 4 and up and their families.

EMPOWERING ME WORKSHOP: COMMUNICATING CONFIDENTLY

Thursday, May 10, 7 PM

Kellie Cathey, LSW and play therapist, will host a workshop to help children from ages 7 to 9 build life skills they need to thrive. Assertive communication gives your child the ability to speak from a place of kindness and strength. Participants will learn the difference between passive, aggressive, and assertive communication, and the situations where assertiveness is needed. No registration required.

STORY TIMES

Join us for stories, songs, rhymes, and fun, and learn more about supporting your child’s early literacy development. Storytime lasts for approximately 20 to 30 minutes.

Each session is designed for its suggested age range, but please feel free to attend the session you are most comfortable with. Every child develops at his or her own pace. Older and younger siblings are always welcome to attend.

All storytimes support PA Forward's Basic Literacy

Please note that all morning storytimes will be on a break from May 14 through June 1.

BUILDING CLUB

1st and 3rd Wednesdays, 3:30 to 5:00 pm

Children ages 3 and up are invited to spark their imagination and build to their heart’s content with our vast collection of building supplies, including Legos, MagnaTiles, KEVA planks, and more. Drop in anytime during the 90-minute period.


DUPLO PLAY DAY

Fridays, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Drop in to build whatever you like with the library's Duplo collection. Use your imagination to play and create! Suggested for ages 2 to 6.
