April 7th - Queen of Katwe - Based on the true story of a young girl who discovers she has an exceptional skill at chess! David Oyelowo stars as the preacher who guides her through the challenges of fighting for a fair chance in a male dominated world. Hopes of raising her family out of poverty guide her every step. Rated PG
April 14th - LIBRARY IS CLOSED
April 21st - A Ballerina's Tale - The behind-the-scenes story of Misty Copeland, the first African American woman to be named Principal Dancer with the American Ballet Theater. This is the story of her perseverance, strength and love of the ballet world.
April 28th - The Gin Game - The lovable duo of Mary Tyler Moore and Dick Van Dyke are together again! This is the movie version of the Broadway play which debuted in 1976. See how two residents of a retirement home cope with life through the game of gin. (Made for tv movie but it's still great!)
We have book clubs for children, teens, and adults.
KIDS' BOOK CLUB
Children in grades 3 to 5 are invited to join us on the second Monday of each month from 7:00 to 8:00 PM. The next meeting is May 8; this month's topic is a new book: read any book published in the last 6 months! Snacks will be provided. New members are always welcome. If you have any questions about whether your child is eligible for or would be a good fit for book club, feel free to ask us.
TEEN BOOK CLUB
Due to lack of attendance, the Teen Book Club is taking an extended break. If you are interested in participating, please let Miss Marie or Miss Kris know. We will try to gather days and times that work well for those interested in the group.
ADULT BOOK CLUB
Join us on the fourth Thursday* of the month at 7:00 PM. Copies of the selected titles are available at the information desk. New members are always welcome! For more information, call the library at 215-836-5300. (*unless a holiday.)
APRIL's selection is The Silence of the Sea by Yrsa Sigurdardottir, winner of the 2015 Scandinavian Crime Novel of the year award! Join us on Thursday, April 27th and share your thoughts of this book. Grab a copy and come in to discuss!
DUPLO PLAY DAY
Drop in between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM every Friday to build whatever you like with our Duplo collection. Suggested for ages 2 to 6.
Drop in anytime during the library's open hours to make a letter craft! Throughout the year, we'll make all 26 letters of the alphabet. Each letter and its supplies are available in the children's section for two weeks at a time, but we'll keep extra materials on hand behind the desk. If you want to do a previous letter that you missed, just ask the librarian for the supplies.
Join us on Wednesday from 3:30—5:00 PM for Lego Club! Set your imagination free with our vast collection of Legos! (Ages 4+)
Children and teens are invited to join the group of yo-yo players on Thursdays from 4 to 5 PM to share tips, tricks, and techniques. No registration required.

MEDICARE and INSURANCE HELP
If you’re 65 or older and need help with Medicare or medical insurance, you can sign up to receive assistance on Mondays at 9, 10, or 11 AM. Visits are by appointment only. If these times are not convenient, please contact us to arrange a special time. Counselors are RSVP and APPRISE certified. Drop in on Sunday afternoons starting at 1:30 PM to play the fun and challenging word game of Scrabble!
ADULT KNIT NIGHT
Join the knitting group at the library every Wednesday at 6:30 PM for knitting, crocheting, and conversation.
Join the group for lively bridge play on Fridays from 1:30 to 3:30 PM.
MAH JONGG (麻将)
Play rousing games of Mah Jongg at the library on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 12:15 PM.
Socrates Café meets each Monday evening at 7:00 PM to discuss, share, and explore topical issues. No need to register; just come with your thoughts and an open mind.
Teens in grades 6 to 12 are welcome to come to the library for Teen Time every Tuesday afternoon from 3:30 to 5:30 PM. Play trivia, eat snacks, and hang out!
