Join us for this kindergarten readiness program. At each session, we'll explore a new theme and letter with books, activities, crafts, and centers with a special emphasis on letter recognition. We'll also review social and fine motor concepts that will make the transition to kindergarten a breeze! For children ages 3 to 5. No registration required.

Join us in the courtyard (weather permitting) as we learn about butterflies and their life cycle! At the end of the program, we'll release our library butterfly friends into the wild! Suggested for ages 3 and up. No registration required.

Drop in to learn more about summer reading and take part in fun activities! Build moon rovers and rockets out of Legos and other building materials, play with coding robots, complete a scavenger hunt, and make space-themed crafts. For children ages 5 and up. No registration required.

Explore the life of astronauts and their intensive training to prepare for space. Learn about NASA astronaut Buzz Aldrin and Swedish astronaut Christer Fuglesang. Discover the wonders of space through hands-on activities, including astronaut training, a mission to the moon, and making space shuttles. For children ages 7 to 11. Presented by the American Swedish Historical Museum.

Explore outer space topics through stories and make space-themed art projects. Suggested for ages 5 to 8. No registration required.


Join us for stories, songs, rhymes, and fun, and learn more about supporting your child’s early literacy development. Storytime lasts for approximately 20 to 30 minutes.

Each session is designed for its suggested age range, but please feel free to attend the session you are most comfortable with. Every child develops at his or her own pace. Older and younger siblings are always welcome to attend.
