8/2/19 – ON THE BASIS OF SEX – Felicity Jones stars as a young Ruth Bader Ginsburg who takes on a case of gender discrimination which becomes a ground-breaking case. Armie Hammer stars as Martin Ginsburg, her loving and supportive husband. Rated PG-13

8/9/19 – INSTANT FAMILY – When Peter and Ellie decide to start a family, they stumble into the world of foster care adoption. What starts as adopting one child suddenly becomes instant chaos when the siblings are added! Mark Wahlberg and Rose Byrne star in this PG-13 comedy!

8/16/19 – THE BOOKSHOP – Set in 1959 England, free-spirited widow Florence Green follows her lifelong dream of opening a bookshop. She earns the polite but ruthless opposition of the locals in the small coastal town despite her non-conservative ways. Based on the book by Penelope Fitzgerald. Patricia Clarkson, Bill Nighy and Emily Mortimer star in this PG celebration of love and literature.

8/23/19 – SNATCHED – Goldie Hawn and Amy Schumer star as mother and daughter in this comedy based on an exotic vacation that backfires!  Polar opposites, they must work together to escape the outrageous jungle adventure they’ve fallen into! Rated R

ADULTS:  We have two options, afternoon or evening! The afternoon group is our new addition!!

The afternoon group will be meeting on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 4:00 PM.  The September selection for the afternoon group is The Soloist by Steve Lopez.  That discussion will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 11. Copies are available at the Circulation desk. Pick up a copy and join in!  

The evening group will continue to meet on the fourth Thursday* of the month at 7:00 PM. AUGUST's selection is: FREE READ MONTH. Choose any book, magazine article, short story, etc. and share your thoughts with us on Thurs., Aug. 22 at 7 PM. No pressure; just a chance to learn about different authors and genres.  Copies are available at the Information desk (not for August).  We will meet on Thursday, Aug. 22, 2019

Drop in between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM every Friday to build whatever you like with our Duplo collection. Suggested for ages 2 to 6.



• Monday: Terrific Two’s and Three’s (18 to 36 mo.) at 10:00 AM
• Tuesday: Playful Pre-School (3 to 5 yrs.) at 10:00 AM
• Thursday: Wonderful One’s (Birth to 24 mo.) at 10:00 AM


If you’re 65 or older and need help with Medicare or medical insurance, you can sign up to receive assistance on Mondays at 9, 10, or 11 AM. Visits are by appointment only. If these times are not convenient, please contact us to arrange a more convenient time. Counselors are RSVP and APPRISE certified. Now there are two options! Mondays at 1 PM and Wednesdays at 6:30 PM! Break out the yarn and come join us!


Join the group for bridge on Fridays from 1:30 to 3:30 PM. Come in and play a hand of party bridge! Refresh your memory on the rules, meet new friends and hone your skills! Limited to 3 tables.


Play rousing games of Mah Jongg at the library on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 12:15 PM. Please be sure to have your own Mah Jongg card. Call for information.


Socrates Café meets each Monday evening at 7:00 PM to discuss, share, and explore topical issues. No need to register; just come with your thoughts and an open mind.


*Please note there is no teen time on Aug. 20 and 27.

Teens in grades 6 to 12 are welcome to come to the library for Teen Time every Tuesday afternoon from 3 to 5 PM.
